There are so many get rich schemes out there today that it would be impossible to list them all. However, they are typically pretty easy to point out, as they all start off with the same type of gimmick. Commercials or advertisements will ask the viewer if they want to live a fabulous life and then the ad or commercial will go on to show beautiful people driving around in sports cars and living in fabulous homes. It is tempting to pick up the phone or click on an Internet advertisement to find out if people can really make money that quickly or that easily.
People often wonder if these Internet marketing opportunities are legitimate or if they are scams. The one way to often tell the difference is that many scams will promise you that you will be rich in a certain time period (usually a very short time period) and those interested will often also have to pay to get whatever program is being offered. But then there are legitimate Internet marketing programs that do require people to pay for their system or their software as well. It is easy to get confused.
Paying for information on how to make money with Internet marketing is touch and go. Some information is great and can really help a person, while other information is just the same old song and dance that marketers have written about time and time again. There are also software programs and training videos that may cost money as well that are legitimate. To help clear up some of the confusion, here are a few different Internet marketing careers that are legitimate:
Affiliate marketing. Even though it has received some bad press, affiliate marketing is actually a very legitimate way to make money through Internet marketing. This type of marketing hones in on a person promoting another person's or company's products and services on the marketer's website(s).
Niche marketing. Niche marketers choose on very specific product to either sell themselves online or to promote online. Niche marketing differs from mass marketing because there is only one product being sold or promoted and it is only marketed to a select group of people.
Email marketing. While email marketing is usually part of one of both of the marketing types above, sometimes companies will hire and employ email marketers.
There are a few other legitimate types of Internet marketing out there, but the three above can give you a good starting point.
