Leineschloss The Palace By The River Leine

Germany is a land that has retained some of its old world charm while progressing to be one of the strongest economies of the world

. One of its administrative districts Lower Saxony stands as a hallmark of what is German, as it preserves its agricultural roots in spite of rapid development. The capital of Lower Saxony Hannover was one of the most badly affected cities during the Second World War, resulting in most of its structures being destroyed, but were repaired and restored later.

Fronted by the River Leine and surrounded by the hustle and bustle of a modern day city is Leineschloss, what was formerly the regal headquarters of the Hanoverian Kings. It was originally constructed in the 17th century by a German duke as his residence and continued to be the home for royalty, even though it underwent several modifications. It was rebuilt in the late 1950s after it fell victim to the bombings of World War II. Today it functions as the parliament of Lower Saxony, the centre for the governments administrative functions in the district.

The architecture of the building is exquisite and there is a distinguishing flavor of Greek and Roman design. One can visit the former palace even in a little boat that cruises up and down the stream and feel the gusty winds that curl into the imperial walls of Leineschloss. By day or by night, the grandeur of Leineschloss is unmistakable, making it a famous historic landmark in the town.

The stately structure of the Leineschloss is similar to that of a Hannover hotel. Though the castle is principally of the past, the city is replete with restaurants, pubs, bars, parks, discotheques and Hannover Germany hotels.
