Les Miserables, the most popular musical show at the Broadway platform is running in its 25th year of performance that makes it the longest running show in the Broadway musical history. Les Miserables musical is based on a novel of the same name written by Victor Hugo that is regarded as one of the most popular novels of the 19th century. Les Mis musical incorporates all the elements that were part of the original story such as poverty, struggle, love, cheat, friendship, care and sacrifices. Les Miz productions are known by their powerful performances making it a household name across the globe.
The heart touching musical has been delighting the audiences for over two decades but this year brought some extra excitement for the production when Les Miserables celebrated its Silver Jubilee on October 3, 2010 and on the same day musical got the honor to run three productions in the same city and also nominated in 5 Whatsonstage.com Awards categories for the three productions including best actor in a musical, Best Ensemble Performance, Best Musical Revival, Best West End Show and Theatre Event of the Year. Whatsonstage.com will announce the winners on their live concert at Sunday 20 February 2011 at the West End's Prince of Wales Theatre. The original Les Miserables production runs in the London's West End where Les Miz got the feat of playing its ten-thousandth performances in January 2010.

Les Miserables has already released its "Bring Him Home" song version to musical stores via iTunes; this version was performed at the O2 Arena this year at the musical's 25th anniversary celebration ceremony. All the money generated from iTunes will be used to help the British troops.
As per latest updates Alfie Boe will rejoin the Les Miserables for Jean Valjean role in early June 2011 at the Queen's Theatre.
