The cultivation of cactus has different requirements on temperature

Terrestrial type of cactus comes from arid regions and has drought tolerance and sleep habit. In winter, watering should be the absolutely prohibited. Dry basin makes it into hibernation. Epiphytic cactus originates from tropical rain forests with high humidity. They also need higher temperature and air humidity in winter, and has no period of dormancy, so it is difficult to cultivate. You need to create an ideal environment for wintering, and they are at least moved indoors while the best indoor temperature can be maintained between 12 and 20 . Usually a small amount of water is available and basin can be kept in the half dry state. Usually, you have to add moisture in the room and keep high air humidity to meet the water needs of epiphytic cacti and maintain low level growth of plants. This is conducive to the growth of the second year.

The management in winter should start from autumn. After the mid-autumn, cactus should receive more light as much as possible. In late autumn, we should control watering until no water. When the temperature is under 4, cactus can be put indoors. The tolerance ability of cactus should be strengthened to pass the cold winter.
