Lets Get This F1 Party Started! Austin Nightclubs Prepare For The Grand Prix After Party

The weekend of November 16-18, 2012 has the makings of a great time for Austinites

and visitors alike as the juggernaut that is Formula 1 rolls into town, bringing with it fast cars, skilled drivers, top celebrities, hot models, big sponsors and avid fans. This penultimate stop on the 2012 race calendar, before the last race of the year in Brazil, marks the debut of Formula 1 at the all-new Circuit of the Americas track, located some 14 miles from downtown Austin.

The 3.4-mile twisty course is specially designed to offer maximum views of large portions of the track to the majority of the 120,000 spectators, catering specifically to US race goers perhaps more used to having the whole circuit or oval in sight for the duration of the race. However, no matter what the view, spirits will be high and when the cars are done dueling around the turns, itll be time to explore the many nightlife experiences on offer in lively downtown Austin.

Known for its live music scene and great BBQ restaurants, theres no shortage of stuff to do in this 820,000-person city, a number thats set to swell to 1m during the GP weekend.
