The depigmentation is followed by loss of hair in that particular area. It also makes your skin highly sensitive to external factors. Alopecia (loss of hair) or premature graying of hair can also be the symptoms of leucoderma. The symptoms of leucoderma are clearer in darker skinned people than those with fairer skin. Home Remedies for Leucoderma
Psoralea seeds are found very helpful in the treatment of Leucoderma. Seeds should be soaked in juice of ginger for 3 days, and dried and powdered. Then take 1 gram of the powder with fresh milk for 40 days.
Red clay found on hill slopes or riverside are also useful. They should be mixed with ginger juice and applied over white spots once a day.
Drink water that has been kept while sleeping in a copper vessel.
Combination of turmeric and mustard oil are also beneficial. About 500 grams of pounded turmeric should be soaked in 8 kilograms of water. Heat it till only 1 kilogram is left. Strain and add 500 grams of mustard oil and warm till only oil is left behind. Apply it on the white patches every morning and evening for a month.
Paste made form radish seeds and vinegar is valuable. 35 grams of the pulverized seeds should be mixed with vinegar and practical on white patches.
Psoralea and tamarind seed be supposed to be soaked in water for 3-4 days. They should be dried, ground into paste and applied on the patches for a week.
Radish for Leucoderma Treatment: Experts believe that the detoxifying property of radish may have a positive effect on the production of melanin. This can help in treating leucoderma.
Radish seeds can be pounded, powdered and mixed in vinegar. The paste may be applied on the white patches everyday for some time.
Red Clay for Natural Leucoderma Treatment: It is believed that the trace of copper in red clay can help in neutralizing the white patches on the skin. Moreover, ginger can help in promoting blood circulation thus helping in faster healing of the patch, thereby treating leucoderma. The red clay may be mixed with ginger juice in equal ratio and applied on the white spots once every day.
