The LG Cookie Style T310 is a slim touchscreen smartphone and one of the three new addition in the Cookie product line

. It measures 102.9 x 56.9 x 11.9 mm and is light and pocket-friendly at 86.5 g. The phone sports a TFT resistive touchscreen, renders up to 256K colours and measures 2.8 inches diagonally.

Network and data connectivity

Connectivity-wise, all the handsets in the new Cookie series are quad band GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900, having Class 10 GPRS and EDGE data speeds reaching 236.8 Kbps on 2G. This means fast and reliable GSM network connectivity is supported wherever you may be on the planet.

To keep its price low, the LG Cookie Style T310 doesnt come with Wi-Fi or GPS support but where local data connectivity is concerned, it has Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP for wireless data transfer and microUSB v2.0 for wired data syncing. Bluetooth with A2DP support allows you to receive audio signal on a compatible wireless headphone. If you want to use a wired headset, the T310 phone has a built-in 3.5 mm audio jack, allowing you to use a particular headset of your choice.

Multimedia and memory

On the multimedia side, the new batch of Cookie phones all include a pre-installed multimedia player which can support MP3, WAV and eAAC+ audio file formats as well as MP4 and H.264 video formats. The phones come with a stereo FM radio with RDS but only the Cookie Style has an integrated internal antenna so you dont have to plug in your earphone to get a good audio signal like the other two phones require.

There is a lot of storage space for your multimedia collection as the T310 comes with an external memory card slot which will enable you to increase the memory through the use of microSD cards. The phone can support expansion cards of up to 4 GB. A 2 megapixel digital camera comes with the device which is also capable of recording QCIF-quality video clips at 15 frames per second.

SNS integration and youth appeal

For a low-priced mobile phone, the LG Cookie Style T310 delivers a respectable set of features, and leans heavily towards integration with the different social networking sites. This is made possible by LGs own SNS integration application which allows posts, comments and updates from various social networking sites to be delivered directly to the phones main standby window.

The T310 has handwriting recognition software for secure data entry as well as a fun and vibrant cartoon-themed user interface which is sure hit to younger users. Another feature that will appeal to the youth is the handsets colour combinations which are available in Pink and White, White and Orange, Black and Titan Silver and Black and Red.

With a very affordable price tag, the LG Cookie Style T310 is a full-featured smartphone for the young generation of consumers as well as an inexpensive entry-level handset for first-time touchscreen phone users.
