The new phone, the LG Optimus 7 is the Windows phone that LG will launch the shortly in the United Kingdom markets. Microsoft launched a number of new phones at the same time when they announced the new operating system and the LG Optimus 7 was one of the phones to be part of that.

The LG Optimus 7 is a pretty straightforward design for Windows phone. It has a lot of screen area and this is the most striking feature of the phone. However, this new phone uses a very powerful QUALCOMM's snapdragon range of processors that more than handle this beast at your disposal. This is a 1 GHz processor and it has 512 MB of RAM. 16 GB of storage is available internally and the only disappointment with the memory is the fact that you cannot use memory cards to raise this memory any further. You have to stick with the 16 GB storage space for the entire time you use the phone. However, having said that this 16 GB storage would be more than sufficient to have a number of songs, which doing some math comes close to 6000 songs, which is a lot. To keep the costs low LG have worked a lot with this phone and one area which has suffered as a result of this is the camera department.

Instead of the 8 megapixel or 12 megapixel cameras that are being used to a lot nowadays, this phone uses the five megapixel camera. However, this camera has a lot of features like a LED flash and autofocus to bring the best out of what you have. HD video recording is possible with this camera and it can record videos at 24 frames per second. Geotagging is the one other feature that comes with this camera. The phone can be purchased without the contract option in the UK for around 400 and with the contract option you can get the phone for 35 a month.
