There are plenty lights strobe kits about, and their application is widening. Some private vehicles have a strobe light. This would be one that plugs into a cigarette lighter and can be attached magnetically to a vehicle. This would be a great warning to other road users that you are stationary at the side of the road, say after a breakdown. LED lighting gives far less drain on battery power than any other type of light so are perfect for emergency vehicles.

All emergency vehicles need what are termed 'active visual warnings' and the flashing lights strobe would be such a warning. Highly visible in all light and weather conditions, the lights strobe is very effective in warning of danger. Any flashing light should attract the attention of road users and pedestrians and warn of its approach or the fact it's stationary at a roadside. Whatever the situation you see any flashing light you would do well to 'Move Over' and most states now have a move over law, which stipulates how you should react to flashing lights and sirens on the road.

Ignore the 'Move Over' law in your state at your peril. Most people who do not react, as they should are liable to be pulled over, fined and get points on their license. Getting a hefty fine is not a good way to learn of the law so you would do well to check it out before then. As with any law, ignorance is no defense! Any flashing lights strobe or indeed other forms are there for a reason. They are warning you of their approach or warning that they are in a hazardous place on the highway or road. Heed these warnings and keep our roads safer and your money in your pocket.
