Link Velocity – What Matters?

Link Velocity What Matters?

Link velocity is referred to as the speed at which a site gains back links. Now the question is why we are talking about link velocity and not just link speed, while the former is a vector quantity and the later one is a scalar quantity.

Before you move further in understanding link velocity in details, let us first realize its significance from vector perspective.

As the definition of vector quantity goes, it is a quantity that has both magnitude and direction. On the other hand, scalar has only magnitude and no direction at all.

Since it is important that the back link (our current concern) should be directed towards a specific direction that is towards the site, it has a particular direction hence it is defined as velocity and not speed.

Now the million dollar question is how to decide the rate at which you should run.

Creating back links is really important for any website. But creating those back links at the speed of light is not a wise decision at all, at least any major search engines like Google does not appreciate it.

So if someone suggests you to build thousands of back links instantly against a few bucks, act skeptically with them. Google and any other major search engines employ smart engineers and coders to develop their search engine algorithm, just don't think you are smarter enough to fool them with automation only.

Instead of creating 500 or 1000 back links per day, you must focus on creating them on a consistent manner throughout the month. Doing so can result wonder in as less as 3 months of time. Gone are those days when creating tons of back links in a shorter span of time gives the desired boost. Today this may result in serious catastrophe for your website.

These days consistency is what that matters and you need to be consistent for being successful. It's really not important how fast or how slow you build the links, but how consistently you build trustworthy and weighty links directed to your site is what that matters over time. Stay focused, consistent and directed.
