Obesity is at an all time high and every day people are looking for way to lose weight and gain more energy and vitality

. Losing the unwanted extra pounds will make you look and feel better about yourself and allow you to have a more positive attitude on life. If you want to lose weight you need to have the right attitude and realistic goals. Here is a list of ways to help you lose weight.

1 - Change your attitude towards weight lose. If you go into a weight loss program thinking that it will never work for you then you have already set yourself up to fail. Get excited about the idea of losing weight and think of exercising as a chance to get away from your stressful life for an hour a day. Having the right mind set will greatly improve your chances of success.

2 - Have realistic goals. Some people go into a weight loss program thinking they are going to lose 50 pounds in the first month, then when that doesnt happen they give up. If you are able to lose just two pounds a week you can lose that 50 pounds in half a year. This is a realistic goal that anyone can achieve and when you get on the scale every week you will see steady progress that will keep you motivated.

3 - Keep track of what you eat. By keeping count of the calories and fat that you intake you will know how long and hard you have to exercise in order to burn it off. Keeping track of what you eat can also be a moral boost during tough times, if you can look at your food journal and see all the healthy foods you eat.


4 - Plan your workouts. Set specific days and time when you will exercise, and do not try to set more than is realistic. If you need extra motivation to go workout then ask a friend to go with you. If you do a weight loss program with someone else then you can keep each other motivated.

5 - Reward yourself. Dont try to completely take everything you enjoy out of your life. Allow yourself one day a week when you can treat yourself for a job well done. By doing this you will be able to stay motivated during the rest of the week and at times when following your program is the toughest.

Weight loss and dieting programs do work, in fact they work for millions of people every day. You just need a good plan and the right knowledge to succeed. By altering your lifestyle and making a commitment to yourself you will be able to lose the weight and achieve your fitness goals.
