List building with Cross Promotions! Easy Traffic for niche Marketers!

One of the main elements that an internet marketer has to have in place is constant traffic to his website. Of course there are many ways of marketing online and certainly some of them do not require a website. However lets assume you are an internet marketer and you are selling a certain product from your website. You will need to send some traffic to your website to make sales.

Where do you get the traffic from?

There are endless ways to get traffic to your site and many of them are rather costly. If you are going to pay for your traffic you need to know the life-time-value of your customer, you need to know how much you are willing to pay to get the customer. Many marketers are paying far to much for their traffic and are having problems with getting their investment back. The bottom line is to make your business profitable.

Some marketers do not even collect their customers email addresses.

Lets assume you are one of the smart marketers and you have built up an email list in one or more niche markets and you are taking care of your subscribers making great conversion ratio on your emails. You may already have made a good return on your investment and are making good money from your customer list.

Most marketers (even the successful ones) have experienced that their lists shrink a bit if they stop adding new subscribers. This is completely normal. People will change their email-address and email addresses will become inactive. So as an internet marketer you constantly need to add new subscribers to your list to maintain it. Cross promotions is a form of advertising, f.x. two list-owners decide to promote each others products and/or services to each others lists, collecting email addresses. That kind of a joint venture can result in more subscribers, more sales and last but not least more credibility.

To do a successful cross-promotion joint venture you need to have all the right elements in place and you want to avoid all the pitfalls that can hurt you cross promotion campaign. You need to make sure that the products or services are complementing each other and not directly competing with each other. This is of course depending a bit on what kind of product you are promoting.

You can partner up with someone selling almost the same product in some cases but not in others.

A musician can perhaps partner up with another musician promoting each others concerts but it would probably be better for a musician to hook up with a record store or a music hall or even a company selling music instruments.
