Liveaboard Diving Is Adventure Diving
Effectively, not all dreams turn to reality
Effectively, not all dreams turn to reality. I became a travel agent and scuba diver rather, and with my hobby being my job (or is it the other way about - I am by no means really positive), I have been able to do my fair share of exploring, as effectively as diving off some of the best liveaboard boats in Indonesia, Australia, and Papua New Guinea.
My first "liveaboard" was for the duration of my PADI Open Water course. Two nights onboard 'Scubapro' out of Cairns. Sitting on the open deck after dark, chatting with new located close friends, admiring the Southern Cross, watching shooting stars make their journey across the evening sky, from the unknown into the unknown - completely glorious!
Since that initial liveaboard encounter I have been on a lot of diverse liveaboards, in a large number of distinct parts of the world. The good quality of the boats differed, but one factor all these trips had in popular was the sense of adventure, the anticipation of the unbelievable diving on the days (and nights) ahead.
Getting an early morning particular person, I absolutely appreciate early morning dives. The underwater world appears even extra mysterious ahead of daylight illuminates every nook and cranny. You can watch a shift modify, exactly where the daytime fish begin arriving, but the evening shift is nonetheless lurking close to, not wanting to leave just yet. There is always a lot of activity underwater early in the morning, have a appear, experience the magic. Right after diving for about an hour, your stomach begins reminding you that you have not had breakfast yet, and you commence to envision the smell of crispy fried bacon, and the taste of fresh fruit. Time to head back, but do not forget your safety stop!
Indonesia is an archipelago of over 17,000 islands. Even though there is a lot of land based diving on give, some of the greatest dive destinations can only be reached by liveaboard. Irrespective of whether you dive in Northern Sulawesi, Raja Ampat, the Malukus, or Komodo Marine Park, 1 thing is for confident - there will be much more fish than divers in the water. One of the highlights for me was seeing a dugong (manatee) when diving about the Banda Islands. I was on a trip which started out in Sorong, West Papua, nicely-known to divers as the beginning point to some impressive diving in Raja Ampat, finishing in Ambon. On one more trip, diving in Komodo Marine Park, and we took a few hours out from diving, hiking on Komodo Island, the property of the Komodo dragon. Enjoying a cocktail hour and a BBQ on an uninhabited island, watching the sun set in a beautiful display of colour, there was not a location where I would have rather been - a perfect finish to a wonderful day.
Liveaboard scuba diving is all about adventure, exploring the unknown, diving at places which can not be reached by day trippers, meeting new persons, or catching up with old close friends. Dive, eat, dive, consume, dive consume - have a shower. Ultimately collapsing on your comfortable bed, falling asleep to the gentle sound of waves lapping against the hull.
