Liverpool Vs Fullham Scores, Results, Game Analysis

THE ENGLISH Premier League match Liverpool vs Fullham held at Anfield on Sunday afternoon

, became a draw, with neither team able to score a single goal. Fernando Torres was sorely missed in the match by Liverpool and though the team had many a chance to get a goal, they were unable to do so.

The Liverpool vs Fullham game began after a moments silence, which marked the 21st anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster. Liverpool got their first chance two minutes into the game, when they failed to convert a free kick. In the eight minute, Liverpool's Gerrard displayed a brilliant 60 yard pass, but Ngog sent it forward too wide.

In the thirteenth minute, Liverpool once again missed a chance to convert a free kick, when Aquiliani sent it smashing into the wall. Gerrard tried againm but couldn't get it past Schwazer. Similar saves and missed chances remained the order of the day on Anfield.

The game saw four yellow carded players, with Johnathan Greening getting one in the eighteenth for a foul on Mascherano. The next was Jamie Carragher in the twenty seventh for a wild challenge on Konchesky. However, the two resulting free kicks were failures too.

By halftime, Liverpool were seen putting the pressure against Fulham with several free kicks and much better chances, but remained far from making an actual goal. Fullham remained on a good defensive, cancelling all attempts by Liverpool to score.

The 52nd minute of the second half, became the first penalisation in this half, with Duff pulled up for a handball. Though Liverpool was in posession for 77 per cent of the game so far, remaining firmly entrached on the Fullham side, a good defense by Fullham did not let them get through at all.

The 65th saw the first substitution on the Liverpool side with Aquilani benched in favour of Dirk Kuyt. Six substitutions occurred in total, with Ryan Babel sent back and Yossi Shai Benayoun sent in (72nd minute), Danny Murphy replaced by Kagisho Dikgacoi (75th minute), David Ngog replaced by Daniel Pacheco (79th minute) and Jonathan Greening sent back in favour of Bjorn Helge Riise (83 minute).

The three minutes of injury time post full time were pretty much the same, with Duff shooting straight at Reina, Johnson's penalisation for fouling Duff and missed chances.

The final scores at Anfield in the Liverpool vs Fullham match remained 0-0. Liverpool lost a chance to rise to fourth position in the English Premier League standings, while Fullham remained on 12th rank. The tally is now headed by Chelsea, followed by Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham.
