The majority of people tend to look at the world from a perspective of what they lack or what they do not have. They do not look at it with an awareness as to the abundance that there is available to them and to the fact that almost anyone can create for themselves alife filled with prosperity as well. The more that you keep your awareness on the things that you do not have, the more you are going to feel as if you really have no power to create changes to your life.
Many people try to have the perspective of recognizing abundance in the world only to see it from both sides. They see the abundant resources that are available and the goodness that exists in many, but they also see that there is an abundance of evil and of conflict as well. This leads to an inner conflict as to what the mind should really focus on and what perspective is the right one to have.
That choice is something that only you can make. There is no way that someone living in all of the comfort in Beverly Hills can realistically tell someone living in an area of poverty or in war to simply change their awareness and that will make everything okay. You make the choice for yourself.
Even in the bleakest of times, you can focus on the light at the end of the tunnel if that it is what you choose to do. No one can make you decide to do this, though. Therefore if you choose to see the world from a perspective of lack or of prosperity and abundance, you are in control of the results of thinking in that way.
