They will quickly learn what is permitted and what is not.

There are many attractive trees on the market today. One that is especially popular is a tall one with branches, which allows climbing. It is a good idea to choose one the same color as the damaged furniture as the cat will feel it is just an extension, not a replacement.

Animals that are contented are a pleasure to have in the home. For cats, providing a cat scratching tree is one way to satisfy their craving to scratch and at the same time train them to not damage the home's furnishings. A purchase like this is well worth the money invested and will last for a long period of time.
