London Dreams Clashes With Aladin
October is the month for Bollywood
October is the month for Bollywood. Already this month a galore of movies has released. Last week, three movies got released on the same date, making the competition all the more stiff. The movie All the best, Main Aur Mrs Khanna, and Blue were the three films that had released, all with some heavy duty budget and star cast. And now on the 30th of October, Aladin will clash with London Dreams.
Which movie would rise up for the occasion? On one hand, Aladin is a fantasy flick with a barrage of high definition special effects along with some big names from the Bollywood fraternity such as Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt. Then there is London Dreams, a film, high on drama which talks about friendship, love and sacrifice. London Dreams have a dream star cast of Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Asin.
Both these movies are poles apart from each other and have an altogether different storyline, idea, genre and most importantly, they target different age group. When such movies come into play what matters is the target audience of the film and the time when the movie is releasing.
Salman Khan is on a roll after his movie Wanted did wonders at the Box office. And the amalgamation of Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan has previously given Bollywood a blockbuster hit movie in the form of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. And talking about Asin, this is her second film in Bollywood after Ghajani. But since, Ghajini was a remake of a South movie; she claims that this is her first authentic Bollywood film.
Aladin has it all, the star cast, the script, animation, special effects etc. For the very first time the Indian audience would see Riteish Deshmukh playing the central character of Aladin and debutant Jacqueline Fernandez, who is also a former beauty pageant essaying Jasmines character.
If we have Big B and Sanjay Dutt for Aladin then we cant underestimate the market value and the fan following of stars like Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. Jacqueline Fernandez has already gained a lot of fame and attention in the promos and is turning out to be a crowd favorite. On the other hand after watching Ghajini, people want more of Asin. So, who has the momentum going their way? Or the little advantage on their side? For this, we have to wait for these two to release.
London Dreams and Aladin both have a strong eagerness and expectation as both the films were announced long back and were known to people. The music of Aladin has touched hearts and has connected well with the people. Vishal and Shekhar have taken the responsibility of the films music. The music of Aladin is so special also because Big B himself has crooned couple of songs in the movie. Talking about London Dreams, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has taken up the task and has done a splendid job with the films music. They stuck to their forte as the music has really been a treat to the ears.
Its Vipul Shah versus Sujoy Ghosh. Vipul Shah is making a comeback after two years, after delivering a hit movie like Namastey London. And now after two years, its London Dreams. Will the London word play superstitious lucky charm for Vipul Shah. Or will Sujoy Ghosh after the not so good Home Delivery will deliver a HIT?
