Lords Cricket Ground is located at St. Johns in the north-west of London. It has always been in the news for the cricketing events it hosts. The ground will be used to host the Archery event during the London Olympics 2012. The seating capacity of the ground is 6,500. After the Games it will resume to conduct regular Cricketing events. The Mall is located in Central London; between Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. The Mall is currently used for sporting events like the Marathon and formal ceremonies. Wembley Arena is located next to Wembley Stadium in the north-west of London. The sporting events planned here for the London Olympics 2012 are Badminton and Rhythmic Gymnastics. The seating capacity of Wembley Arena is 6000. Post Games the Arena will continue to hold other sporting events and act as an entertainment venue in London.

Hockey Centre is located in the Olympic Park. The construction for the centre was completed in the year 2011, a year before the Games. The sporting events which it will host are Hockey, Paralympics Five-a-side Football and Seven a-side Football. The seating capacity for the main Hockey Centre is 15,000 and that for the second stadium is 5,000. In all there are two pitches, one for the actual games and the other for warming up. The Hockey Centre is a temporary facility; after the London Olympic Games 2012 the centre would be shifted to the north of Olympic Park.

Velodrome is located in the north of Olympic Games. The construction for the Velodrome began in 2008 and was completed a year before the Games. The sporting events that the Velodrome will host are Track Cycling and Paralympics Track Cycling. The seating capacity is that of 6,000 spectators. The outer wall of Velodrome is made of glass, thus increasing the visibility of the outside area of Olympic Park. After the Games the Lee Regional Park Authority will be responsible for its maintenance for the use of the local community. Water Polo Arena is located in the south-east of the Olympic Park. The construction for the arena began a year before the Games. The only sport it will host is water Polo. The seating capacity for the arena is 5,000. After the Games the facility will be dismantled and its parts will be used for the other purposes.
