Long distance relationships are a subject that lots of people talk about. There is quite a bit of controversy on it. Some say they never last, some say that you can't trust the person because they are not with you, some don't even get involved with anyone unless they live locally in the fear of having to spend so much time alone. You can't give up on a long distance relationship or even not let one start because you don't know what you could be missing out on after such a long wait. He could be the love of your life.

So, how do you keep him interested enough to want to wait?

I am all about creativity when it comes to relationships and being creative is how long distance relationships last. So I want to give you a few creative tips to keep things interesting and worthwhile for the wait.

1. Watch a favorite TV show together on the phone or while you are online. Make sure to talk about the show and the commercials.

2. Learn new things about each other. Ask a fun and interesting question every day.

3. Make your partner happy. Send a romantic card or a drawing to show them that you are thinking of them.

4. Make a relationship diary. You have it for one week and every day write in it things that you don't say to your partner directly. Certain ways he makes you feel, even what you were doing one day that made you think of him. Then mail it to him. He gets to read it, write in it for a week and then mail it back to you. It can get extremely romantic and keeps you both interested in the relationship.

5. Make a CD play list for each other with songs that remind you of one another.

6. Take pictures with your phone every day of funny things that you see or just of you doing your day to day activities. Send them to your partner so they can share the days moments with you.

7. Make sure you use that web cam! Skype, instant messaging, it's very important that you try to talk to your partner every day. Turn your webcams on when you are doing day to day activities around the house. It can help to make you feel like you are actually there with each other.

8. Don't forget to send those little sweet text messages often.

9. Update your Facebook or MySpace account status by dedicating it to your partner.

10. Play online games together using Yahoo or any other gaming site you know of.

Bottom line is, there are literally hundreds of ways to stay connected when you can't physically be connected. Make it creative, fun, maybe even a bit naughty and it is sure to last till you can see each other again.
