During the healing stage the surgeon will give you some instructions in regard to the proper caring of your mouth from the implantation. To avoid ever getting dry socket, which is very painful, do not smoke. Also keep your mouth free and clean from germs and bacteria by cleansing your mouth.

A candidate is considered to be someone who has a missing tooth or several missing teeth and whose oral health conditions are good. The expenses for dental implantation is $2,000 to $4,000 per tooth. This amount will cover any and all services rendered by either the oral surgeon or dentist.

After all the treatment is done and over, you and the dentist or oral surgeon will develop a good care plan for you to use. Also you will be expected to have periodic check ups to monitor the status of the implant, gums and teeth to ensure that they are in healthy condition.
