Look Younger Using These Makeup Tips

We can't run away from ageing

We can't run away from ageing. Sooner or later we'll be treading that road. But then again, just because we are numerically old, it doesn't mean we should look old as well. There are some things that you can do and avoid in order for you to avoid looking 10 years older. Here are some makeup tips for you.

No Dark Lipsticks

Typically, our lips thin out as we age. Dark lipsticks do not appear pleasant in skinny lips; that's why you should avoid dark lipsticks. Instead, choose a lipstick color that's closer to the natural shade of your lips. Rosy reds are great. You may want to stay away from orange lipsticks as well because they tend to make you appear older. On the other hand, pink lipsticks make you appear younger. However, if you think that your lips are already super thin or they already appear too wrinkly, you may want to focus and play up your eyes. This will draw attention to your eyes instead of your lips.

Eye Pencils vs. Eye Liners

Between eye pencils and eye liners, the former is better for the aging eyes. Why? This is because liquid eye liners tend to be darker. This can be harsh on your eyes. On the other hand, eye pencils are softer. You can even soften this out even more by using a dark eye shadow instead of eye pencils. Apply an eye liner using an angled brush dipped in dark shadow. This creates a smudge-y and softer look.

Focus On Your Eyes

If you have fine lines or Turkey wattles, the best way to detract the attention from these parts of your face is to draw people's attention to your eyes. You can do this by enhancing the color of your eyes through the right shades of eye shadows. Doing so will make your eyes pop. If you have brown or hazel eyes, you can use gold or brown eye shadows. If you have blue eyes, you can enhance them by using blue-gray eye shadows. On the other hand, if you have dark eyes, you would look great in light brown eye shadows.

Less is More

When you're starting to age, less makeup is always more. Stay away from too much foundation, too much eyeliner and too much lipstick. You may use, however, tinted moisturizers, light eye shadows, light lipstick and highlighter pens. Additional tip: if you want to get some bangs, do it. It will help you look even younger.
