Looking To Cure Panic Attacks??? Drugs Are Not The Answer!
In the mental health arena, psychiatric drugs or anti-depressants are used to help alter mood
, control behavior and treat panic attacks. People suffering with anxiety and looking to cure panic attacks have turned to household drug names like Prozac, Paxil and Zoloft for several years now. Not only are these drugs prescribed by psychiatrists, they are now being administered by physicians who lack the expertise of recognizing mental disorders.
To make matters worse, some of these drugs are known to have numerous and serious side effects such as uncontrollable facial and body tics (signs of severe neurological damage), hallucinations, dizziness, nausea, anxiety, withdrawal symptoms and sexual dysfunction.
A small percentage of anti-depressant users may even become suicidal, homicidal or both. Homicidal tendencies may sound like a stretch but consider the recent increase of shootings over the last 2 decades especially in America's school system.
Furthermore, the negative effects by these drugs provokes or spawns other disorders in people prompting doctors to prescribe even more drugs. The result is simply giant profits for drug makers at the expense of a tormented and drugged up American society. The word "criminal" does not suffice for the monstrosity that is taking place and has been for several years now.
Here are some other reasons why drugs are not the answer to cure panic attacks...
Besides the fact that anxiety/anti-depressant medications only treat the symptoms and are loaded with side effects, these drugs are often prescribed to patients who are misdiagnosed as having a moderate or severe form of anxiety. Several people that really only fit the criteria of having a mild form of anxiety are treated needlessly with medication.
In many cases, it also takes several weeks for medications to start working for patients. Often times, patients give up and stop taking their medications or take it on and off instead of following doctor's orders. Unfortunately, some people just do not respond to the drug's effects.
Drugs are simply not the best way to treat or cure panic attacks and manage your levels of anxiety. They contain numerous side effects and may even lead or provoke other disorders in people warranting the use of even more drugs. It is also unfortunate that some anxiety sufferers are misdiagnosed in terms of the level of anxiety they are experiencing. People who suffer only a mild panic attack may be treated needlessly with medication.
