. Of course there are other ways to find true dates but online dating sort of puts lots of good people in one particular area. They say that one in five people has tried online dating. Are you one of the five? Do you think it's for you?
Some people prefer to meet in person simply because you can normally tell if there is any type of chemistry between you and someone else the first time you meet them. That is something that can't happen online. I do however think that when you meet someone online and then go out with them you have a little bit of an advantage. You know something about them and you also know some of the things that they like to do. This is a good conversation starter if nothing else.
You can check out some of their interests, religion preference, hobbies and likes and dislikes to see if they align with yours. If so, you can choose to contact that person and possibly go out on a date with them. Keep in mind that just because you both may be catholic and both may like to go hiking it doesn't mean it's going to be a match made in heaven. It just means that there are some commonalities.
One of the things people like about online dating is that if someone doesn't appeal to them in a picture then they may overlook them and they could actually be the person of your dreams. Too much emphasis is based on looks online and not enough on the person themselves.
Just because someone doesn't come in the package that you think may be the ideal doesn't mean they are not worth getting to know. They may end up being your prince or your princess.
