Here is a look at the Los Angeles Clippers roster and what each relevant player means to the team in 2009-10 and going forward.

Blake Griffin, Power Forward: Griffin is the blue chipper of the group. The team selected him with the number one pick in the 2009 NBA Draft and is looking for Griffin to become a star. The organization thinks so highly of him that they traded away their starting power forward from last season just to make room for Griffin. He's bound to see plenty of minutes and should be ready to contribute rebounding, defense, hustle and some interior scoring right away. He's an explosive leaper and will sell Los Angeles Clippers tickets immediately with his thunderous dunks.

Eric Gordon, Guard: The Clippers like Gordon a lot, and so do I. He had some really big games toward the end of last season, but we all knew he could score the rock. The Clippers think that he and Griffin can be running mates for a long time and they might be right. Gordon has ridiculous range on his jumper and he's underrated in his overall game. He's a good passer and is working on putting the ball on the floor. He's strong for his age and position and he could end up being a very good player. He'll be a big part of the team's success this season.

Baron Davis, Point Guard: Davis' first season with the Clippers did not go well, but he seems to be upbeat about the team's chances this year. If he can stay healthy, he's one of the best point guards in the league. He's strong and quick and needs to settle for fewer jumpers off the dribble. I think his mind will be in the right place this season, which will bode well for his performance and the team's.

Al Thornton, Forward: Thornton is another one of the Clips' talented, young players. He's a versatile small forward that can do a lot on the floor, but he needs to improve on his decision-making. He'll need to temper down his expectations as far as shots go, but he should be a valuable player to this franchise in 2009-10 and moving forward. He led the team in scoring last season, but don't expect a repeat of that. If he does it again, it might not spell good things for the team.

Chris Kaman, Center: Kaman really is one of the more underrated centers in the game. He's a legit seven-footer and has a really nice post game. He can score with ease on the block and has a nice touch around the basket. His offensive game is one of the best low-post games in the league, but his defense leaves coaches wanting more.

Marcus Camby, Center: Camby is the defensive center on this team. While Kaman is offensive-minded, Camby prefers to focus on defense. He's a good shot blocker, but is actually a bit overrated when it comes to overall defense. He'll get his minutes, though, as the Clippers will need to defend the rim in order to win games.

Craig Smith, Forward: Smith is a big body that will add some toughness to this lineup. He's got a pretty good all-around game and can contribute in a number of areas. He's a good role player.

Sebastian Telfair, Point Guard: Telfair is a pretty solid backup point guard. He's gotten a lot of flak because of all the hype he got while playing at Lincoln High, but he's becoming a capable point guard in the pros.

DeAndre Jordan, Center: Jordan is still a project, but one that could pay major dividends in the future. Keep your eye on this kid.
