The master of the diamond was made an offer, and was well on his way to redeeming a team from the edge of obscurity. There is little doubt that without assistance from Joe Torre, this team would have been dead and buried long ago.

It is no secret by now that the Los Angeles dodgers are on their way back to glory after just a few years ago being a team that people would have just as soon seen gone from MLB. The opportunity to bring Joe Torre in arrived and the Dodgers jumped at the chance, they saw this as an opportunity that was too good to be true when it came to making a good move for the manager's position. This was seen by the players and management as the shot in the arm that the team needed. The following seasons have been a stark contrast to those previously.

In 2010 the same success that Torre has had in previous years is beginning to shine through as the first part of the season is moving forward. There is a lot of reasons as to why being a Dodgers fan will pay off in 2010. With the bullpen shutting down opponents left and right and the power of the bats, it is no wonder that they are in the first place in their division as well as the National League. There are many fans as well as experts that are all hoping that the luck continues and that the post season is just as successful. Many say that Joe Torre may be looking at another World Series under his belt. If things continue on this path, this may be the best season yet for the team and the manager.

When the season wraps up, there will be few people that will be shocked to see the Dodgers in the post season, this is due to the fact that the team is looking better than in years past, and they have a swagger that is making them look like a World Series contender. This will be a hell of a year for the Dodgers, as they try to break the glass ceiling, and make their way into the post season. While this sounds easy, it will be a tough challenge for the team to accomplish.
