. That's especially true when you want to lose stomach fat, too. Stomach fat can be some of the most stubborn fat to get rid of, after all.

If you're wondering why that is the case, it all has to do with genetic coding. You see, people used to be in much the same boat that animals are in now. Winters were long and food was scarce. So, humans, like animals, would store up fat and spend it as energy in the lean times when it was necessary.

The big problem these days is that we get to spend winters in our nice comfortable houses. We also don't exactly have to go hunting around for our next meal. Now that there are such things as houses, fast food restaurants and grocery stores it's even easier to pack on the added fat, but a lot harder to work it off.


A Lower Stomach Fat Myth:

There seems to be a myth going around that says you have to treat lower stomach fat differently than you would treat other body fat. It's certainly true that stomach fat can be a bit harder to get rid of than other fat, but the one thing that you need to understand is that the process is still the same, regardless of where the fat is located.

The Process:

That process consists of two things. The first is eating proper healthy natural foods. That means eliminating or at least severely cutting back on, junk food and processed foods. Trade them in for fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, try to eat a good amount of lean protein each day because it will help you to build up lean muscle mass.

The second component is energy expenditure. In other words, you need to exercise on a regular basis. Exercising regularly, especially with strength training and cardiovascular exercises can speed up your metabolic rate. That, in turn, can keep you burning off those extra calories.

Make it Permanent:

If you want to lose weight and get rid of your stomach fat, don't do it just on a whim. Squeezing into a party dress for one night is great, but it's much better to make it a permanent change. That's why you should opt for slow and gradual healthy lifestyle changes, rather than trying ridiculous crash diets.
