Lovely Professional University organized a musical evening "Mehfil-e-Sham Sangeet ke Naam"

It was a balmy and melodious evening for listeners when the talented students of Lovely Professional University performed in an event called as "Mehfil-e-Sham sangeet ke naam" The event was organized by the Department of Performing Arts in Shri Baldev Raj Mittal auditorium of Lovely Professional University. In this event the students of Performing Arts department and Open Elective students, Performed the different items such as Shabad, Classical Vocal, Thumri, Tabla solo, Folk song, charka, Ghazal, Rap solo, Guitar, Geet, Dhol, Qwali, Sitar etc.

During the event students stunned the listeners by their melodious presentations. Some of the students, Jaswant, Jagbir, Tara Singh, Vivek, Tavleen, Harman etc who presents Shabad, Tabla, Charkha, Folk song, Qwali, Dhol and Thumri mesmerized the audience The audience applause helped the entire participants to give their best to make this evening a special one. The students said unanimously "Music is a symbol of unity and equality. LPU is a place where students from different states and countries feel the same unity and equality, today also through our performances we delivered the same message to our friends and staff members of LPU"

Speaking on the occasion, Executive Dean of LPU, Mrs. Rashmi Mittal congratulated the participants and organizers for the success of the event. She said "It was great fun listening to the creative and colorful performance by the students. We always think that music is a form to get relaxed, but we never thought that music is also a strong source of Education which we have seen today. The way students performed it shows their hard work and truthfulness for their work. My good wishes are always with my students".
