I bought this TV to replace three years Samsung Series 03:32 My "LCD TV in my room because I wanted a larger TV sizes, now that prices have fallen quite a bit '(which pays more than $ 1,400 for my 32 "a few years before). We debated between this and a 40 "Samsung has the same price, both models were 60 Hz, which is good because I only use this on my DVR. Because I've seen some large R / C before the picture quality decent I went with this because it is larger, with specific slighly better than the Samsung, even though I always preferred the Samsung. I did not think it is a newer model than what I've seen with better specifications lost .. .. I was wrong!
I put this on the wall, how many years and I saw on my first evening I was very disappointed! Although the image is sharp and vibratant Only in that way if you forward. It seems that the angel is wonderful with this set, especially much lower, that is my problem because I use it on a wall in my bedroom, and the view from the bed, sit down slighly below the screen (TV is just above My Dresser, perhaps three feet above floor). In this position, the screen fades terrible as some of the biggest screens laptop did. Black and gray are also washed out. We can not have this problem, or my old 32 "or my 52" living room. The building itself is also very weak compared to the Samsung models that I owned. It's strange, but I installed a 42 "LG for a friend who is more than two years older than that and was much more stable and have a better picture and viewing angle of this.
I understand that this is a set of lower-end, and I would not only better for the bedroom, but considering it replaced a period of three years with only 30,000:1 contrast and 720p with it is apparently 100 000: 1 to My old 1080p yet produced much deeper blacks and vibrant colors and white, I'm pretty disappointed. Furthermore, said another reviewer who notice any backlight go out again, but this is not my expertise. Although I have seen worse, apparently this time quite a bit 'light of all the holes in the wall. I think I can live with that, but why? None of the others I have had this problem.
I hold, but do not want to go to hastle and do not want to spend more money to get a more high end. I decided to change my wall mount a tilt and angle the TV down, with slighly higher on the wall, and helps a lot because a few Angel TV promotion perfectly aligned with my viewing area, so it seems pretty good now and I can deal with it.
Bottom line, I'll be happy with him, but I'm happy! I would not recommend it personally, if I do I probably would have gone with 40 "Samsung, however, or so to get a 42" or 46 "Samsung.

After trying to make me enjoy this TV for three days, I decided to return. There are just so bad! Even with the position angle of the wall is not good. Black is still very gray and light gray is much that goes on the LCD screen that can only wash everything and turn on the lower half of my bedroom light, even when there is not showing images. That all models from the backlight back on the walls, which are now much more visible tilt mount.
I went ahead and ordered the 40 "Samsung and I could get the first position and Amazon have made the process simple. They said they will suffer the delivery of news.

Really like it.
First off: We did not purchase this TV from Amazon, we purchased it at a local retail store, not for any other reason than the price (we paid a few hundred less than the current Amazon price)
My husband and I purchased this back in April, it was either this or the Phillips that they had set right beside it, it was really a hard choice as the Phillips was marked down to just a few hundred dollars, whilst this was just under six fifty. We are so very glad that we went with this model(42LD450). The video quality is quite good, blacks are black, and whites are white, back light is very bright, and video quality is amazing.
We almost took this back however: When we first plugged it in and turned it on, the only picture was a white screen with the Firmware version bouncing around, no menu would come up and it would not acknowledge anything had been connected. Well, we unplugged it again, and turned it back on, and this time, it acknowledged the DVR (input 1) and starting spewing forth video and audio We have had no problems since that.
My only gripe is that we will have to go out and purchase a new unit for our surround system, as the TV only has a Optical Audio Output. And on that note, the built in speakers are not awesome, yes, they are very usable, but like almost all TV speakers, they are not going to satisfy your need for spectacular surround.
