Another helpful tip is to watch your water heater. For example, you may not notice a change from your water heater going down to 115 from 130, but you will notice it in your bill.

One thing, that is really easy is to do is check your heating unit. Make sure that there is nothing on or leaning or draped over the heat pump. A good idea is to clean it via your water hose so that it is clear of dirt, grime, leaves and twigs. This way you can ensure that your heater will be in proper working order for the winter to come.
