Luxury Silk Tie Designs
If you like something really different in a silk tie then read a comprehensive review of a range of luxury silk tie designs that have been extracted from our popular blog. The reviews cover many popular styles that have stood the test of time.
Collage Designer Tie
Heavily influenced by The Art Deco movement 1910 to1940, but there is more than meets the eye, the sunburst is evident across the pattern. This is taken from its original form dating back to classical Greek and Roman architecture. The design has been in our collection for a number of years but only recently introduced a new colour. Like most of our products it is woven and made in England.
Paisley
No collection is complete without a couple of Paisley silk ties. We sifted through many hundreds of archives stemming back many decades and finally selected something that had the right colour, pattern and texture combinations. Depending on the warp and weft, the background and fore ground dominate alternatively as you turn the tie into the light. An array of different colours emanate from the paisley patterns, this is caused by the way satin silk is floated to the surface during weaving processes.
Classic Oriental Floral Silk Tie
Time for a change: This tie has been our most popular style for more than two years, and only now have we introduced a new colour, "when you're on a good thing stick to it" Out of this came an entire Oriental collection, with three new designs in the process of manufacture and available in late July 2010. Now we look to the East for inspiration.
Gothic Silk Tie
It's like Paul Smith once quoted: "inspiration can come from anywhere at anytime" The Gothic era has always been fertile ground for inspiration, sinister, mysterious, and gaudy intricate. The medieval art movement developed in France out of Romanesque art in the mid 12th century. So time poses no barriers to inspiration. Our take on Goth is now found in a newly coloured silk tie.
Autumn Bell Rose Silk Tie
The Autumn Bell Rose silk tie was first released in 2008. We maintained the same colour for two years, but recently decided to introduce something new, more versatile and less seasonal. Magenta, cobalt, black, silver, royal and sky blue, aqua and purple, the chosen colours compliment each other beautifully and will go with any outfit you choose to wear.
Opium Silk Tie In Colours Pink
The opium tie design has become one of our most popular styles, so we have created some interesting colour combinations and recently added them to the our extensive collection: Still the epitome of male self expression, still the most popular accessory.
Floral Butterflies On Satin Silk
Playful, colourful and cheerful; The butterfly form is constructed of miniature woven flowers; this tie is suitable for wearing by ladies too. The silk was woven to order in China, shipped to our tie maker in England and then distributed to Luxury fashion Boutiques in Australia and sold online to customers throughout the world, so we have created a modern day silk route.
Floral Silk Tie From The Orient
Patrick McMurray is an Australian designer who has spent many years in the United Kingdom studying and working in fashion. Now based in his home town Perth, he orchestrates the expertise of textile printers, silk weavers, jewellers and makers, working collaboratively the world over to produce a range of exceptional handmade silk ties, cufflinks and fashion accessories. Each piece is produced to specific design requirements; meticulously cut, made and trimmed by highly skilled artisans; they will endure the rigours of everyday uses, so value is retained for many years. From conceptual origins to technical specifications conclude all the essential elements of "true" designer silk ties, cufflinks and accessories.
Gothic Influence
Inspiration can come from anywhere at any time. After consulting many hundreds of archived textile designs, this one seemed to make the strongest statement to our end of representing a hint of the gothic era. But then again it could also be classified as art deco, what ever, this silk tie has such great appeal.
