MLM Recruiting - What NOT To Do When Calling Leads

For MLM recruiting, calling leads is nothing new. There are many different places you can buy leads, many types of leads, etc.

One major issue with leads for MLM recruiting is that everyone who's calling leads is pitching them. Unfortunately though, people are not sitting at home waiting for a pitch to buy something, no matter how much money you spend on leads. That's just not how it works.

There are so many different factors with MLM recruiting leads, but the one constant is that by definition you're calling on a COLD lead. You don't know them and they don't know you. There's no relationship, no rapport, no trust.

A lead is created when individuals go online and fill out surveys and ads about starting a business at home (which then turns them into MLM recruiting leads) because they are searching for a way to solve their problem. Whomever can really connect with each prospect in a sincere way and give them the best information to help address their problem and provide them the most valuable and worthwhile information - that person is most likely going to "get" that potential prospect to buy from them - regardless of how many other people are chasing after them and regardless of how many other businesses they have already seen.

Therefore, to stand out from the crowd with your MLM recruiting and to in fact get your COLD lead's attention, instead call them and find out what YOU can do for them. Ask pointed questions to see what exactly it is they are looking for; how can you assist them? Again your goal is NOT to pitch them on this first call; you simply want to obtain their temperature, find out their interests regarding a home based business and provide them lots of value, ie, benefits to associating and working with you, like FREE information or resources on your website.

How many people would you think are calling this prospect with a goal of HELPING them? This is what advertising and marketing consists of - standing out from the crowd. You won't believe the response you'll have if you approach calling your leads this way. Now you won't make a lot of money with this MLM recruiting approach up front but again you should be thinking about the long haul, and this is only ONE of the weapons in your arsenal; also keep in mind that you'd earn even less money just pitching them directly, if for no other reason than you would likely give up after the first 3 calls (on average). More to the point, your team can duplicate this approach because the phone won't appear to weigh 800 lbs when prospecting in this manner, which means more numbers which means more money.

Again, you could go around to the mall or spend all afternoon driving from business to business, all dressed up and try and make some clever flyer or business card to hand out but you may as well start a new hobby because you'll end up with about the same amount of income. More people have quit the business because of having to resort to this kind of an approach due to the lack of laser-focused approaches I am sharing with you now. Just remember to be constantly prospecting and introducing people to your business on a daily basis. Pitching people won't work and it's not a very duplicable MLM recruiting method.
