Success in MLM is tough, though NOT impossible. In my initial struggle, I was shocked to learn that 97% of network marketers would forever be having a mediocre success in their primary opportunity.
Could it be that MLM just works for the chosen few? Or has the problem been in ourselves all along, too naive to think that we have the ultimate opportunity to share with the whole world.
However, I want to urge you to look in YOU for the answer.
Success in MLM has never been about the debt-free, public listed company in the biggest economy in the world,.. That my friends,. won't attract prospects. You say you've got the cure for cancer? Maybe some would come, though a lot would question why is it NOT prescribed by doctors if it was ever any good? Well, you get my drift.
The reason I say this is because the old-school method of leading MLM by opportunity should stay in the 70's. You know, using methods like play the number game, organize home parties,.. 3 foot rule,.. mirror and match,..blah blah blah.. I'm dozing off just by typing this out..
I have been in this industry closing to 4 years now, and I've used those methods,.. I made flyers, sent brochures, invited everyone I know for business previews,.. almost hunted my friends and family to extinction! I just want it(to succeed) so bad that I followed everything that my uplines thought me. Only to be hurt again with no progress.
My vehicle is running out of gas, and who cares if it was a Ferrari, right?
So, here's what I found. Leading by opportunity is dead. Full Stop. You should mention your MLM opportunity as a 'by the way' effort. Only, and only, when somebody threathens your life wanting to know what it is you do.
Our industry revolves around trust and personal development and we should own up to that. If your personal mission statement does not involve 'Adding Value To Other People', this industry is not for you.
There are thousands upon thousands of company replicated websites and bountless opportunities out there in the MLM world showing features and benefits of company and products' line.
And there is one Y.O.U.
We are all born different, with different experiences and values, and that's the X-factor. You stand alone and your VALUE is unique only to you.
Having said that, this automatically eliminates having to earn a 5-figured income first just to show off to prospects that you have already made it in the world of MLM. 'The Testimonial', with your picture beside a luxury car all dressed up exuding corporate fakeness.
YOU are special and the ONLY thing that you should learn to do is to market YOU, and the VALUE you could offer. That's the building block of your business, the foundation, and that is why the value you are offering should live up to the most demanding of clients, yourself.
The whole idea revolves around the concept of Attraction Marketing, when you brand yourself as a leader in a chosen field, providing solutions to your marketplace, where in this case, to the existing Network Marketers.
Let me direct you back to my opening statement.
Success in MLM is tough, yet attainable. You just need to adjust your angle of attack to allow a better advantage for yourself.
It is now easier to position yourself as a leader.
The internet gives you maximum leverage to connect to thousands and thousands of people a day.
This is the major secret of the top producers in MLM.
By being a leader, I don't mean for you to fake your identity online as though you are a millionaire success story. NO. That's just DUMB.
Learn new skill sets to better market yourself online. If you are really serious about your MLM success, nothing would hold you back from attaining it.
While learning online marketing methods, find your strengths to brand your expertise. Identify how you could market your value to the online marketplace and start as soon as you can.
It does not have to be perfect. Just remember to lead with the principle of attraction marketing.
For example, if you are passionate about the nutritional products of your MLM business, you could start a blog detailing the various breaktroughs that your product have accomplished. Provide neutral reviews of how other products would also benefit your target audience.
By providing value to them, you have definitely gained their trust and belief. Who do you think they will buy the next nutritional product from?
Don't you think, at the very least, they will ask for YOUR suggestions?
Lead with your value. You will never go wrong.
