MLM Tip Who Is Stealing Your Dream and What Can You Do About It
Today I'm going to give you a MLM Tip. We may not know each other, however, I know who is stealing your dream. Can you do anything about it? Of course you can and I'll be glad to help you. However, first let's take a look around. Go to a mirror and take a look at yourself.
While you're there looking into your eyes I want you to answer these questions:
Do you like to read?
When is the last time you read a book cover to cover?
What do you read?
Do you read books about network marketing.
Did you know that:
58% of the US adult population never reads another book after high school.
42% of college graduates never read another book.
80% of US families did not buy or read a book last year.
70% of US adults have not been in a bookstore in the last five years.
57% of new books are not read to completion.
How do you rate in the reading category?
Now let me ask you a question; If reading 10 pages a day would double your income in the next 12 months would you read 10 pages a day? Of course you would.
One other question; Do your friends read? Did you know that your income tends to equal the average of your 5 closest friends. In fact, your personal development, attitudes, financial health, level of success in your career, and everything else about your life will tend to be very close to the average level of each of these conditions in your five closest friends and associates.
Another bit of bad news, or good news depending on your friends, is that your level of health tends to be the average level of health of your 5 closest friends. In fact, according to The Framingham Heart Study, if a friend becomes obese, the likelihood that you will do the same increases by 171 percent.
Your relationships follow the same pattern. According to the same study, if one of your friends gets divorced, you are 147 percent more likely to get divorced. When you look around at your circle of friends, are they happy with their lives, their careers, their relationships?
I'm not accusing your friends of stealing you dreams. They can't do that. You are the only one who can steal your dreams and you already know that. My point is that your friends have a big effect on you and how you think of yourself.
When you associate with people who enjoy life and want out of life the same things you do, their energy will help keep you charged up, just as your energy will support them. You need to have friends and associates who provide a positive influence and inspiration for you.
When you talk to your friends about Network Marketing do they explain to you all the reasons why Network Marketing doesn't work. Actually, if you think about it, they can explain reasons why a lot of things don't work. Isn't it amazing how a friend who was in Amway for two months, and then quit, is suddenly an expert on Network Marketing.
Most of us have friends who have told us time and time again that no one makes money at Network Marketing. As bad as this sounds, the fact is that most MLMers learn how to stay away from these people. That's the easy part for most. After the first couple times of hearing what they have to say about how you are ruining your life it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out - just don't go near them.
I'm not saying dump your friends and only hang out with network marketers. However, while you may want to still "be there" for your existing friends, if they cannot provide you with positive influence and inspiration you need it's time to find some other friends.
Besides your friends, who think they are doing you a favor, are not your biggest challenge. The biggest challenge and the biggest dream stealer, who it is very difficult to get away from or change, is you.
The challenge is the self talk, not the advice we get from others but the advice we get from ourselves. That's why you need mentors, friends and associates who are successful, motivated and involved. They don't have to be involved with the MLM business, however, they do have to be engaged rather than someone who is sitting on the sidelines second guessing your moves.
Don't steal your dreams. Find people and circumstances that will encourage you to have BIGGER dreams.
