Mahindra Mini Xylo India Launch Expected By The Dussehra Or Diwali
The soon to be launched Mahindra Mini Xylo MPV in India may come packed with a 1
,493 cc three cylinder turbo diesel engine. This fresh piece of news has come recently regarding the MPV which is due for launch for a long period of time. The vehicle was thought to be brought to the 11th Auto Expo held at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi in the month of January, however it was not seen standing with the other Mahindra cars at the Mahindra stall. This three pot engine can generate a high power of 100 Bhp along with a maximum torque of 240 Nm which should enable the MPV to deliver a good performance as expected by the prospective buyers who have been waiting for ages for the vehicle to bow in the Indian car market.
Due to undefined conditions the launch has been deferred many times but now it seems that the vehicle will finally make its mark in the compact MPV segment by the end of this year. Let us talk more about the latest development in the MPV which we have come to know and that is the engine which would be powering the MPV. The 1.5 litre mHawk engine which is a stripped down version of 2.2 litre motor powers other Mahindra cars like Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra Xylo and Mahindra XUV 500.
This is the sturdiest machine available in Mahindra"s range of diesel motors. This engine could also be used in many other Mahindra products as it generates a high amount of power and torque. Due to the presence of three cylinders in the engine it makes it more fuel efficient. If rumours are to be believed the MPV is anticipated to offer a high fuel economy of 18 kmpl. This is also the lightest turbo diesel engine according to the weight offered by Mahindra. The weight of this engine is around 185 kilograms. This engine is very versatile and can be used in other vehicles like hatchbacks and small engine bays.
Mahindra Xylo Mini price in India is being talked about the most, if we go by the rumours the MPV could be priced under Rs 6 lakhs which is extremely good.
It will rival Maruti"s Ertiga MPV which is also available at a very low price and is also posting good sales numbers every month. The presence of 1.5 litre mhawk engine will make the MPV a very strong contender in the compact MPV segment. Mahindra Mini Xylo will be a seven seater which will have a layout of 2+3+2, the last two seats will be the spring jump seats. The length of the MPV will be less than four meters and will also get benefits from the cars with length under four meters. This will further help the vehicle in getting an affordable price tag as the tax levied on the car would be meagre.
At such price the vehicle would not just send shivers down the spine of its rivals MPVs, but will also challenge the likes of B+ segment hatchback and entry level sedans which come with similar price tag. Expect the MPV to be launched during the festive season around Dussehra or Diwali when the auto market witnesses the maximum number of sales and maximum number of launches. Despite the petite size of the MPV it is still going to be able to seat seven people comfortable inside the cabin. Mahindra Mini Xylo launch in India has been delayed, had it been launched in India earlier things would have been much better for the car maker as it would have had benefit of being the first one to enter the segment which now has been conquered by Ertiga and soon will be followed by some of the other MPVs.
