Indian car market by launching its all new SUV named Mahindra XUV 500. This SUV is first of its type in India which is built with monoque chassis similar to a car. This step taken in design part is most remarkable and it counts in advantages such as it makes this SUV light in weight, gives it a car like independent suspension and it provides plenty amount of space between its 2700mm wheelbase which is its topmost design achievement.

Engine and car performance

Under its hood, Mahindra XUV 500 homes 2.2 liter mHawk engine coupled with a turbocharger and similar to the one you will find in Scorpio. However, XUV 500 generates more power from this engine. It produces 140 bhp power and its torque is 33.33kgm. There is a 6 speed easy to use manual gearbox and cruising this car at three digits of the speed is never a problem with its excellent car handling and riding on-track records. XUV light weight helps it provide good fuel economy and better acceleration performance. According to ARAI XUV 500 comfortably manages to give 15.1kmpl fuel economy.
