Appliances make our lives easier, but they need proper care and maintenance for their long life. Proper maintenance can help you in gaining high performance from your home appliances. Not only this, it will also help in reducing your electricity bills.

Among the different appliances we have at home, the most common ones are Refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machine, dryer, TV, Computer, other kitchen appliances etc. Some appliances are too sensitive and difficult to clean while others are easy to maintain.

Here are a few tips to maintain your Home Appliances

Refrigerators: Clean it fortnightly by unplu gging first and then turn off the knob. After that remove everything inside and then clean the racks and shelves. Use sponge or soft cloth to remove the dirt.

Dishwasher: Once a week, check dishwasher from inside for debris or dirt that might be clogging the holes. Use soft cloth to clean the surface and edges.

TV or Computer: Keep it unplug before cleaning. Use soft cloth to remove the dust and clean the surface. You may use paper towel also.

Microwave: Use vinegar or lemon to remove the foul smell. Use dish soap to clean the tray.

Laundry Room Appliances: Appliances like Washing Machines, dryers Clean the lint trap before you use your dryer; this will prevent a fire hazard, save you energy, and make your clothes dry faster. Don't let lint and debris accumulate under a dryer or it can become a fire hazard!

It is good to maintain your appliances on regular basis to save your time from heavy scrubbing. The appliances will have a long life and overall running costs will also be reduced to a greater extent.
