Make The Most Of It - Some Great Farm Sheds And Patio Roofs Ideas
Although I am primarily associated with home renovations and carpentry
, I own a farm house with a fair bit of grazing land. Though it does not make me a farmer, it often lets me experiment new ideas and try out options. Since the farm house was getting really old, I decided to do some renovation work on it. I took some days off from work and took my family to help me out with implementing my ideas and plans for the renovation work.
The house was quite strong and required only a few ornamental repairs here and there. What really got me thinking and excited was the patio. We also needed to construct a shed in the farm. The first challenge that I faced was arranging for the money required for the renovations, the farm sheds and the paint work that would follow if everything went as I had planned them to go.
A wooden farm shed would cost me heaps, especially for the size that I was considering. At the same time, I needed to make good of the patio. Though it required minimal repair work, we wanted to cover it up so that we could sit on it, even when it rained or got stormy. New patio roofs proved to be quite costly. So I started looking for cheaper alternatives, though I did not want to compromise on the quality at any point of time.
I considered the patio first. I went to the nearest supermarket selling the stuff I required for the renovations and expressed my concern. I would have very little money left for the patio or the farm shed if I wanted to get everything else done properly which was obviously more important than the patio. That is when I came across the idea of trying something else that offered both the quality and the looks, but required much less investments.
I checked on the internet and came across Rock Solid Sheds, who offered outdoor patio covers, patio roofs and awnings as well. These units were all pre-assembled and portable. All they required were the measurements. They not only got the roof and the galvanized posts ready for covering up the patio, but helped me install them as well! I got glass walls fitted to give the patio the look of a room with large French windows.
Moreover, I checked the internet and came across portable and pre-assembled
farm sheds as well. Not only were these sheds cheaper for me, but I could afford a much larger shed for the budget I had on my mind. I contacted the same company for the farm shed and they helped me set it up. Since I could concentrate on renovating the house while the shed and the patio roof were being installed, everything was done in a weeks time.
Finally, I couldnt believe how different and beautiful our house looked after the weeks work. The patio has helped me change the look of the house completely for a very little investment! I must say that the internet really offered me some really innovative ideas that not only fitted into my budget, but completely changed the way our old farm house looked!
