There are two Aquariums in Crete, but the Cretaquarium
, opened at the end of 2005, is newer and bigger than its counterpart. It has recently been refurbished, making it one of Europe's very best attractions of its kind. The kids will love the Cretaquarium, which gives you the opportunity to interact with all kinds of weird and wonderful fish and reptiles. You will see everything from large predator sharks to sea horses. The diversity of this park is what makes it special though. You will be able to see creatures from the nearby Mediterranean Sea, and even more rare wildlife from exotic locations all over the world.
