Make Your Bridal Look Unforgettable
In past years, brides of all ages and styles generally didn't leave much of an impression with their footwear
. Even the shoe-obsessed frequently selected white high heels in some form or other, which most people forgot the day after.
But in recent years, I have noticed that brides have decided to extend a little extra personality to their shoes. I have seen girls in Converse of all colors, tennis shoes, and hot pink stilettos. I highly recommend maneuvers like these. It's your day, so you want to stand out--from head to toe!
First off, you might want to consider your wedding colors. Ideally, they should go along with the season, but, of course, it's your day. But if you have what they call and "accent color," or a "fringe color," like gold or silver, you might want to sport such a color on your feet.
However, that is only one idea. You can just as easily show off fancy footwear in your favorite color if that shade is not among your wedding regalia.
Many wedding stylists suggest that you coordinate with your bridesmaids so that you have the same shoes, but try to imagine the outcome if you were to get a little more creative.
Naturally, it would look best if they were at least in the same color family, but mix it up! For example, if you have one particularly tall bridesmaid, allow her to wear flats, while the others can wear heels of varying heights.
But whatever you do, do not overdo the heels. Every woman will want to have shoes with strong arch support and a wide enough heel to allow her to balance. If you prefer to wear slim heels for photographs during and after the ceremony, you may want to have another pair for the reception.
After all, how many of us have had events ruined--high school prom brings back some memories for me--because we wore the wrong shoes? But if you prefer not to change out your shoes, then you might consider researching special supports or inserts that slip right into the shoe and provide extra comfort.
Perhaps you aren't comfortable wearing shoes of a non-traditional color. But if you want to add a little flare, then you might look for colorful accents. There are shoes that have cloth roses, crystals, and other fun little appendages that will add plenty of unforgettable style.
Some brides think that shoes are shoes. But if you want to complete your unforgettable day with an unforgettable look, then you have got to put some oomph into your shoes.
