Make Your Move a Whole Lot Easier With Cardboard Boxes
If you are moving house or having a clearout to move things into storage then it can be a stressful time, not least because of the volume of stuff that needs to be moved. Speaking from personal experience, I for one always under estimate exactly how much there is whenever I have moved. It is an easy thing to do, you look about your house and think that it looks fairly simple because there isn't much to move. The problems start when you delve deeper and start to open up all the cupboards, drawers and other nooks and crannies. Once you do this you actually begin to realise that you have got a mountain of things that need to be dealt with. One way of doing this effectively is to get yourself a generous number of cardboard boxes to pack everything in to.
It is often tempting to just try and get everything moved as quickly as possible by shoving things into bin bags, containers and holdalls. This may seem a good idea at the moving out stage but it is later on when you are looking for certain items that it can cause problems. With things just stuffed into anything possible, there is no order to where they are so you could have to root through everything to find what you need. By spending a little more time packing items into a labelled box, it makes things much simpler when you want to get out a specific item. You can arrange items into a proper order so that when you are unpacking you know exactly where each box should go. This may take a little longer initially but it will save you time further down the line.
Ultimately, using cardboard boxes while you are moving can help to bring a bit of organisation to things. When people move house they seem to still have stuff lying around unpacked for weeks after they have moved into their new home. If you have packed your items into clearly labelled cartons then you can quickly pinpoint where things are when you need them. Moving can already bring enough stress so don't make it worse by being unorganised while packing.
