Another consideration is the condition of the house. Do you want brand new or a house that is ready to move in to, or are you open to a fixer upper. Houses that need some repairs are generally less expensive, but you should have an idea how much it would cost to make all needed repairs.

The interior refers to the actual size of the home and its room use. You should have on your list the number of bedrooms and baths needed. It is important to note that several houses could all have the same room use, such as three bedrooms and two baths, but the size makes the difference.

Youll also want to know what interior features you want, such as fireplaces, air conditioning, basement or laundry room, type of windows, etc. These can be listed as Must Haves or Liked to Haves to give yourself some flexibility, as many interior features can be changed.
The Community
The community is as important as the actual house. The first decision is whether you want to live in an area with a Community Association. Associations are often in condo buildings and specialty neighborhoods, such as retirement communities. Many people like them because they keep things orderly, but understand that to accomplish this they have a whole list of rules. These can rules cover things like roof style and materials, fences, pools, etc., and can be very restrictive. Other community features may include parks, public pools, and golf courses.
