Just because you have your will written out, signed, and legally validated by the court doesn't mean that you cannot make any more changes or additions to it, because you can. Though it is suggested that you read and reread your will very carefully before you sign it, mistakes happen, especially those spelling or typing/editing mistakes, they can't be avoided. If you have noticed mistakes in your will, don't be afraid to inform the legal officials in charge, for example, if you want to change a few sentences here and there or want to add things in. It is your will, your property, and your decisions, and you have complete liberty over it. And of course, you have complete liberty to change it as you wish.

"Codicils" are the changes made to an existing will. Writing a will requires proper and formal formatting and careful wording, so it is as equally important that if changes need to be made, they are not just handwritten or edited into the original document. The changes should be included in a separate page, done in the same format of the original will and is still following the formal and legal rules required in writing it. The changes should be made simple and easily comprehended, and should relate to the original will. If the changes are a tad more complicated, then it is suggested that you rewrite the will from scratch instead, basically just start all over again. It's best to destroy the original as well, so as to avoid any confusion or misinterpretation of your will.
