Other than this, there are many other methods of recycling the rubber wastes but the above discussed process is mainly used. Another approach of freezing the rubber using nitrogen and then granulating the frozen rubber in the similar way as mentioned for the above process. There is yet another method called as Pyrolysis, wherein rubber is melted under anaerobic conditions to prevent production of toxic fumes. This process is not yet given green signal for using it at commercial level.

The recycled rubber produced at the end of recycling process has so many benefits to offer. Reclaimed rubber is used as rubber mulch to serve as a cushion in accident-prone areas. Also, since reclaim rubber is resistant to shock and sound, it is also extensively used in gyms. Even in clothing industry, rubber has found its space. Sport shoes, raincoats and so many other things are formed using recycled rubber.
