Making The Most Of Private Label Rights
I would like to suggest that Private Label Rights (PLR) material is one of the most
underutilized resources available on the Internet in terms of its potential to be so much more.
You will find that most people who use PLR products, simply add their own name to the sales letter and then insert their own Paypal button. After this, they simply upload the product to their website, run a few Traffic generation techniques, and then sit back and hope for the sales to start rolling in.
To be completely honest I have been guilty of this with some of my early attempts at using PLR material.
To really get the most out of Private Label Rights, you really have to make the product your own. What I mean by this, is to take your PLR product and change it to the point where even the original author would struggle to recognize it.
Now you can do this in several ways. And I would like to share with you a few ways on how you can change a PLR product and rebrand it as your own.
Method 1 - Simply Add Your Signature.
As stated earlier, the easiest way to use PLR is simply to add you name to the sales page & Ebook and then edit the Payment button. This is not the best way, because this is how most people try to sell their PLR material.
Method 2 - Rebrand your PLR Product.
I would call rebranding the process of renaming the product. For example, if you have a PLR eBook called "Public Speaking for Beginners" you may rebrand this as "Beginners Guide to Public Speaking". Although this is not a big change, if you were to change the eBook Cover and sales letter graphics and sales copy enough, you could convice people that this was a unique product.
Method 3 - Rewrite Your PLR Product.
This is another fairly simple way to work with Private Label Rights products.
If you're dealing with an eBook, go through and make some serious changes. You don't necessarily have to reinvent the wheel, but you can change things up enough to make it at least look original.
To begin with, obviously rename the ebook, as suggested in Method 2. Next you should go through the index and rename each of the chapers.
Feel free to reorganize the chapters if it does not take away from the general flow of the book.
I would then start reviewing each chapter and rewriting some of it give it my own style. In addition, I would remove some things I didn't agree on and add some of my own thoughts.
Then the final step would be to obviously change the sales page enough so your potential customers will not identify this as just another rehashed PLR. (Make sure you also change the salespage graphics)
Method 4 - Completely Reformat Your PLR.
I would have to say that this is the biggest opportunity for anyone who wants to work with Private Label Rights Products.
Now most people do not take time to use this method, because it does require additional work. However the opportunities that this method offers, makes it all worth it.
This method entails taking an eBook for example and then changing it into an audio book or perhaps a Video lesson.
An audio of an eBook could simply consist of recoding yourself reading the PLR eBook aloud and then publishing it as an MP3. Also another advantage of reading the eBook aloud is that you will find you will naturally start adding in a couple of your own thoughts along the way also.
But don't stop their... What is to stop you from creating a PowerPoint presentation of the main points of the eBook, and then do a screen capture of your presentation.
Of course as with previous steps, change your sales copy & graphics so it looks like you have a new product.
Method 5 - Create a Webinar.
As I was writing the previous method, It occurred to me that you could also take a PLR product and create your own PowerPoint presentation and then use it for a Webinar presentation. Something to think about further.
Now you could make some serious money online, if you were to investigate this idea further, and see how many different ways you could repurpose your PLR material.
This is just a starting point when it comes to the many ways you can make money from Private Label Rights Material. If you sit down with a piece of paper and a pen, and have a good think about it, I am sure you can think of many more possibilities.
