Making your banner stand out

Making your banner stand out

Making your banner stand out

So many companies exhibit at conferences and events now that it's hard for businesses to stand out amongst the crowd. However by using well-designed, high-quality banner stands, you can do just that.

Banner stands could ultimately mean the difference between getting a sale, and getting no sales. Events are so crowded these days, but if a prospect walks by and can't fail to notice the colourful and eye-catching banner stand of your company, they may be inclined to spend some of their precious time investigating your service or product.

The first thing to remember is - use lots of white space! Do not use blocks of text, as these will bore potential customers and turn people off. Pick only a few words, and pick them wisely, as a punchy couple of lines will do much more for your business than a bland paragraph.

Print any text in a large, bold font; this makes it easy to read (especially from a distance) and will naturally draw the eye of any prospects walking by.

Secondly, use colourful but relevant graphics on your banner stands. Our eyes will typically gravitate towards what we know, so including pictures of human faces or simple pictures is a great way to catch someone's attention.

Making pictures relevant is more tricky. Be sure to link them to the benefits of your product, and not the features. Basically, a feature is something your product can do - so it uses a specific type of technology to get the desired outcome. The benefit of this feature could be that the technology is a lot quicker than that of your competitor, so your consumer can 'get the job done' five times' faster.

Lastly, include a call to action on your banner stand. Don't wait for consumers to come to you; lure them in with a free sample, writing 'Free samples here!' on your banner. Or encourage them to 'Buy one, get one free!', as this is sure to draw in a few punters.
