When managing challenging behaviour in children trying you need to take a proactive approach
. A perfect example of acting proactively in an attempt to solve a behavioural problem is to not give in to your child when they cry in an attempt to get their own way. You can try and ignore the behaviour or distract the behaviour, but definitely do not give into the behaviour as this will show the child that if they cry enough for what they want they will get it.
