Whilst the player is now at 33, and possibly not playing the best football of his illustrious career, Mancini has obviously thought otherwise and added "Patrick is a world class midfielder with a winner's mentality and will fit into this group very well." With the loan deal only first at 6 months it shows that Mancini will simply not splash out millions of pounds on players that feel will have no short or even long term effect on his team.
