Mantis Tillers The Powerful yet Quiet Home Tiller/Culitvator

My friend Jake and I have been friends for a long time. We went to high school together, got hired by the same firm, and live in the same town. We're both very competitive and for whatever reason, we do a lot of betting. Oh, we don't go to the casino, bet on horses, or buy lottery tickets--we just like to bet on things. We bet on the weather, on the boss's mood, on how many floats will be in the local parade, on how fast we can mow our lawns, and just recently, we've made bets on whether or not mantis tillers really live up to what the ads claim them to be! Okay, so I lost the bet and because I lost, I'm writing this article. It's all part of the bet...but I am really impressed with the tiller!

Jake's wife, Tisa, wanted a tiller that she could use. Usually Jake does the weeding, edging, etc., but Tisa wanted something that she could use around the pond. Jake and I went on-line, did a google search, and read the ads for different tillers. When we saw the one for the mantis, I began to laugh! One of the claims by a customer was that "the tiller is so quiet, I don't have to be concerned about waking up the neighbors at 5 AM."

I told Jake that if the tool had the power that the ad claimed it has, then obviously it's going to be noisy. After all, what outdoor tool isn't noisy...weed whackers, lawn mowers...they're all loud! Jake disagreed. He really thought that it was possible to have a powerful quiet tool.

Tisa read over the information on the mantis electric home tillers as well, and told Jake that she wanted one. Thus, a bet was on! Jake bet me that the tiller would be quiet. If he won the bet, I would have to mow his yard for a month and write this article. If I won the bet, he would have to mow my yard for a month and write a letter of complaint to the company, including that he should've listened to his best friend's advice and never ordered the stupid thing in the first place!

Jake placed the order and the tiller arrived pretty fast! We (Jake, Tisa, my wife Laura, and I) got together for a backyard cookout and to put the mantis tiller to the test! Tisa had the honors of starting the tiller, which I have to admit is pretty awesome. You just plug it in and pull the trigger! Anyway, I was about ready to burst out in laughter as I anticipated the loud noise...the loud noise that NEVER occurred!!! The Mantis tiller is a quiet tool!

So, this article is almost done and I'm off to mow Jake's yard. Hmmm...I think I'll bet Jake that I do a nicer job mowing his yard than he's ever done!!! The winner gets...yep, I need to come up with something really great for the winner! I know I can with this bet!!! How much do you want to bet?
