Mantra music is a form of sacred music that consists of sounds

Mantra music and Stotram music originally came from India and was a Vedic tradition. Stotram music is written to the Gods and Goddesses as a form of worship and praise. The most well-known is the poetic music about Ravana. It has become a part of Hindu tradition and is regularly practiced with Sikhism, Jainism and Buddhism. The mantra refers to all of the music that contains text. The mantra that is the most basic is OM and it is the sound of all mantra music.

Ravana was immensely intelligent and he was married to one of the five perfect women called Mandodari.

This poem and Stotram music reflects alliteration and onomatopoeia that has rolling waves of resounding beauty. This is a great example of devotional poetry. This is a beautiful poem and way of worship for many and these stanzas will wilt your heart. They are very intense and can be very inspirational to those who practice this type of religion.

Praise and worship are very important to many people, and sacred music utilizes love and honour that is put into worship. Perhaps, the most famous of Stotram today is Shiva Mahimna Stotram and Mahishasur Mardini Strotra.
