Many Programs Work In A Few Mb
Accustomed to large software dozens, perhaps hundreds of megabytes
, the existence of great programs great half MB may seem pure utopia. And if we told you that there is a whole suite of programs for the work that may be contained in an old floppy disk?Exactly. Floppy Office is a collection of programs, no-install (not requiring to work) very complete, where you can find: a text editor (KPad), a notepad advanced (TED Notepad), a software for spreadsheets calculation (Spread32) and one for diagrams (EVE).

There are, then, tools such as text converter PDF (PDF Producer), an operator of compressed archives (100K Zipper), a software for secure deletion of files (DSDel), one for file encryption (DSCrypt) and utility to rename files easily (Rename Files).
Everything contained in a single package of just under 2MB, which contains some tools ready for use and others that need to be unpacked (are enclosed in zip archives) before use.
Of course, none of these can achieve excellence in suites like Microsoft Office and OpenOffice.org, but less than 2 MB of space is really difficult to require something different. Moreover, all these programs run perfectly on computers very old.
